You round decimals make things easier to calculate.
You can round decimals at a store. For example if have something for $9.95,$4.65 and $8.99. You would round $9.95 to $10.00, $4.65 to $5.00, and $8.99 to $9.00.
How To Do It
First you take the decimal you want to round. If it is five or bigger the number (or decimal) to the left of the number to round rises 1 higher. The rounded decimal goes to 0. If the decimal is under 5 the number (or decimal) to the left of the number to round stays the same. The rounded decimal goes to 0.
Normally you will round to the 2nd or 3rd decimal.
Example
Round 0.1284 to the nearest thousandths.
1. The decimal to round is 4.
2. 4 is under 5, so the 8 does not change.
3. The 4 goes to zero.
